How long will my appointment last?
During the week appointments can generally be accommodated at any time during opening hours (so long as we don’t already have an appointment booked in) and can last approximately 1.5 hours. On a Saturday, due to high demand, appointments with Aliya Rose are available at the following times and last no longer than 1.5 hours:
9.00am
10.30am
12.30pm
2.00pm
3.30pm
Who can I bring?
Generally we like to make sure you have exclusive use of the shop during your appointment, at such times we can comfortably accommodate up to three guests. When considering who to invite we would recommend bringing people who are close to you, know your personal style and can give an honest opinion about what suits (which is not the same as telling you if they like the dress).
Do I need to buy special underwear, shoes, etc?
We would suggest wearing underwear that you feel comfortable in as in the majority of appointments a staff member will need to assist you in the changing room. It doesn’t have to be nude or strapless – but if you do have a strapless bra available to wear this might help to give you a better idea of how a dress may look and fit on the day. You certainly don’t need to buy anything especially for trying on dresses.
Aliya Rose has a stock of shoes that are used during appointments. Generally these are for giving a bit of extra height due to the length of the dresses – however this is not essential and comfort comes first! If you would prefer to bring your own shoes to an appointment then you are more than welcome.
What can I expect during the appointment?
Your appointment time is about you, we want to help you to find what you want from your dress (and sometimes of equal importance – what you don’t want). You will have full freedom to browse the dress rails and select the different styles that you wish to try on during your appointment.. Our experienced team may make suggestions for styles that you may want to consider trying on but it will always be your choice.

Aliya Rose understands that finding and buying your wedding dress is a special experience and a very big decision. We do not believe in being pushy or “hard selling” in the shop; it is our aim to ensure that any decision you make is done at your own pace and you are 100% comfortable with it.
